It is named after Benjamin Banneker who was the son of freed slaves in Baltimore. ⁣Īrlington Playground Website: Chestnut Hills Parkīenjamin Banneker Playground (2 blocks from East Falls Church Metro) If you are looking at the Center from the playground, it is on your left side with a small bathroom sign. ⁣ 🚻 – Clean restroom at the Center accessed from the outside. Street parking available too.⁣ 😷- We went before school let out and it wasn’t too crowded but around 3:30PM it started to get very busy so we went for a short hike from the Center.

⁣ Very cool sandpit area (with benches close by!) ⁣ Grassy hill roofs, Trails that go into Lubber Run Creek, Pickleball, volleyball and basketball courts.⁣ ⁣ 📍 200 N Columbus St Arlington, Virginia 🅿️- Free parking garage under the park is open 8 AM to 10:15 PM. Lubber Run Park is a dream ✨ Thx to those of you who shared this rec…you were right! Unique Features: ⁣Famous yellow slides and “rock climbing” hill⁣, Beautiful wooden play structures made in Germany including 2 playhouses and a huge rope climbing thing. Lubber Run Park (Buckingham Neighborhood) Maybe could also park at Whole Foods and shop there. 🅿️ Weekends: Parking garage at the Amzzon building is free for 3 hours! On a weekday, I found street parking on S. 🍩 a lot of eating places look to be opening later this summer. 🚻 Whole Foods is 2 blocks away and Starbucks is 1 block away. ✅ Fenced! ✅ Water bottle fillers ✅ Benches & Phone chargers ✅ Half shaded when we went ✅ Big and Little dog parks nearby Located in the new Metropolitan Park near Amzon's new HQ2 which is off S.
